Human Resources Manager
Fixed term – 10 months (maternity cover), Manchester
Starting salary for this position on a full-time basis is £37,452 per annum (plus contributory pension)
We are seeking a HR Manager to join our Human Resources team, which provides support and advice to MAG’s employees working in over 25 countries across the world and to MAG HQ in the UK. This is an exciting and dynamic role, where you’ll act as a business partner, using your skills and experience to support our lifesaving work across the globe.
Based in our Manchester HQ office, but working with senior managers based overseas, as well as in the UK, you will be responsible for delivering high quality operational HR services and advice across a variety of employment context and legal frameworks. As a business partner, you’ll provide support to senior managers as a trusted adviser on complex people and performance management issues, change processes, compliance and risk. You will also have the opportunity to develop HR policies and strategic projects and add value that will assist in decision making and the delivery of MAG’s lifesaving work.
You will need to have experience of managing and delivering HR services. Previous experience of working in International HR is not necessary, but you will need to rely on your sound project and people management skills, as well as knowledge of employment law and ability to interpret and apply it. This is a fast-paced role and challenging role, which will require high levels of initiative, pro-activeness and strong multi-tasking skills. With an ability to lead, motivate and develop a small team, ensuring effective communication between various stakeholders, you will be a creative, flexible, solution-focused HR professional committed to MAG's goals.
